SNA hosts a wide variety of events throughout the academic year. Some of our past events have included volunteer work, clothing drives, CPR certification classes, fundraising opportunities, and our new guest speakers series that we started in Fall of 2024. Most notably, we hold study sessions and skills labs which allow nursing students to review difficult concepts or practice essential hands-on skills such as administering injections and head-to-toe assessments. These practice sessions are held outside of the classroom and regular lab hours so students can work on skills and topics with the comfort their peers.
In addition to our events, SNA is a place for nursing students among all grades levels to build meaningful friendships with one another and find community in the program. It can be challenging to juggle the busyness that is nursing school between classes, clinical, sim labs, etc. Wherever you are in your nursing journey, we want to find ways to support you all the way through graduation!
SNA is the representative student organization on campus for nursing majors. This includes all undergraduate day programs including BSN, ABSN, LPN to BSN, RN to BSN, and transfer nursing students. Please note nursing students are not the same as healthcare studies majors.
You can join us but completing the SNA New Member Form listed below. Voting members are students who have attended at least three regular, special, or impromptu meetings in an academic semester. We understand that meetings and events require a time commitment from our already busy nursing students. That being said, we love to see as many of our members as we can whenever possible!
